I am extremely privileged to be the Principal at St. Kevin’s and love working alongside our families and staff to support all our amazing children.
My passions outside of school are family (father of three!), motorcycling and supporting the mighty Magpies!
Andrew Butler
Deputy Principal - Head of Operations & Community Engagement
Hello everyone, my name is Andrew Butler and I’m one of the Deputy Principals here at St Kevins; such a vibrant and family orientated school! The students and staff are the heart of our school and we greatly value our relationships and connections. My passions include life in the great outdoors, gardening, mountain bike riding, reading and generally staying fit. I love holidays with my family and having some fun every day!

I am the first person to greet you with a smiling face at St Kevin’s. My role encompasses many hats. I love interacting with our families and students, from Enrolments, fees, newsletters, sick bay and many more. Out of school I love spending time with my children, husband and friends.

I am the School Maths Leader and I am passionate about the teaching of Mathematics. I support the teachers to plan and deliver Maths activities that engage all our students.
When I am not at school, I enjoy time with family, walking my dog along the beach, bike riding and catching up with friends.

Outside of school, I love to snow-ski, go to the gym and the beach with my husband and two children. I also love to read, watch movies and solve the Wordle puzzle each day.

I love working at St. Kevin’s because every single person is extremely supportive. Outside of school you will find me exercising, running marathons or completing obstacle courses. My family runs the Muddy Hell obstacle course for kids most school holidays.

It is such an honour to be able to fulfil my dream of being a language teacher at St Kevin’s, where I’ve been made to feel at home by both staff and students alike from the very start. I constantly strive to make learning Indonesian as fun, engaging and practical as possible. Outside of school, I spend my time mastering other languages like Japanese, Korean and Russian.

Being the Performing Arts specialist is very exciting. I get to teach my three loves: dance, drama and music. I started dancing and learning the piano at the age of six. I have been involved in several amateur musicals and many dance concerts. Nowadays I attend Zumba classes.

My passion is in STEM Education. I have been teaching in this field for over 4 years. Previously I have worn several hats. As a classroom teacher, a PE teacher and as a Performing/Visual Arts teacher. I enjoy sharing engineering concepts with students and watching them as they problem solve solutions. My hope is that, through STEM, students will develop the critical thinking skills that can be applied to any learning area.
